Rwanda: Hope Rises Wins Best Foreign Documentary!

Rwanda: Hope Rises has had the distinct honour of winning Best Foreign Documentary at the International Family Film Festival in Los Angeles. We're extremely proud to have been garnered this award. It represents the achievement of a dream, recognition of the effort by so many to have this story told.

In particular, deserving accolades go out to Steve Plitt for his editorial work; Lyn & Jesse Rosten and Chris Davies for crewing the first trip; The Bridgeway Foundation for their moral and financial support; The Wellspring Foundation for their fine work in Rwanda; and most of all Nicholas and Elsie Hitimana for having the courage to tell their story.

Thanks to everyone who made this possible!

DVD Mailinglist

I've added a DVD page to the site in anticipation of Rwanda: Hope Rises being available for purchase. Add your email to the list so you can be the first to know when the DVD is available.

We are currently looking at the possibility of an educational version of the DVD, designed for junior-high & highschools (and other educational instutions) wanting to do a unit on Rwanda. Rwanda: Hope Rises provides a unique perspective of both the conflict of 1994 and the reconciliation and rebuilding in the years since, and is viewable by a younger audience. Interested? Get in touch on the contact page.
